Helen Mirren Set to Receive Golden Globe Cecil B DeMille Award.
The celebrated English actor Helen Mirren, previously recipient of an Academy Award, four Baftas, Globes trophies, five Emmy Awards, along with a Tony Award, is set to receive another major award to her trophy case: the Cecil B DeMille Globes' lifetime honor.

Dame Helen, octogenarian, previously made a dame during 2003 and honored as a BAFTA fellow in the year 2014, will pick up the award at an event January 8, shortly before the main Golden Globes occur, as part of an event billed by the organization as Golden Eve.
Additionally featuring the presentation of the Golden Globes’ Carol Burnett prize for TV work, whose winner remains unannounced. The prior year’s honorees were Viola Davis and Ted Danson.
“Mirren stands as a powerhouse performer, and her professional journey is truly exceptional,” stated the Golden Globes president, the Globes’ leader. “Her brilliant portrayals and commitment to her craft persistently influence generations of artists and viewers as well. It is a profound honour to award her this lifetime achievement honor.”

Helen Mirren gained prominence in the 1970s via important performances on stage in the West End of London and with the RSC and in films including O Lucky Man!, Caligula and The Long Good Friday.
During the nineties, her prominent part in detective drama Prime Suspect increased her popularity even more. Additional notable movies feature Excalibur, The Madness of King George, The Cook, the Thief, His Wife and Her Lover, Gosford Park and Calendar Girls.
She earned an Academy Award for her performance as Elizabeth II in 2006 film The Queen, a character she reprised back in 2013 in The Audience, the theatrical work from Peter Morgan regarding the encounters involving the monarch and the PM the former PM, and for which Mirren won a Tony in 2015.
