I will stamp all over 'serious combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two time unified heavyweight champion Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

Despite those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.

Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Success

However, the novice is still one of boxing's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the traditional confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly proceeding.
