The Co-Creator of Call of Duty, Has Died in an LA Car Crash
The co-creator of Call of Duty, who helped create the immensely successful first-person shooter Call of Duty, has tragically died in a traffic collision in Los Angeles, California aged 55.
Zampella's death was announced by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, a game studio that he helped create.
The celebrated video game developer died after his automobile collided and burst into flames on a highway in Los Angeles on Sunday, US media outlets report.
"This represents an unimaginable loss, and our deepest sympathies go to his family and friends, his family, and everyone impacted by his legacy," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts commented.
