The Ideal Pocket Monster Tales: Z-A Mega Evolution Based on Your Zodiac Sign
This return of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has ignited immense excitement within the community. Starting with the gradual unveiling of newcomers before the game's launch, to trainers developing strong views on the entire lineup of new Megas, there's plenty for fans to anticipate.
With many of the Mega Evolutions boasting unique appearances that emphasize their personalities, one thought came to mind: How can link this with astrology? This list is inspired by a mix of vibes, common zodiac traits, and individual observations.
The Ram – Super Camerupt
To be truthful, Houndour's evolution was nearly chosen for this fire sign, as both are the Mega Pokémon and zodiac symbol that evoke the greatest apprehension. But, a Mega Houndoom comes across as always furious, which isn't typical of the Ram's energy, renowned for being fun, light-hearted, and impulsive. That's why Aries far more akin to Mega Camerupt, which only spews lava when angered. Stay on the friendly side of both and enjoy a powerful partner; if you cross them, be ready to face the consequences.
Taurus – Mega Heracross
Much like a loyal Bull, the steadfast Heracross, both in its standard and Mega form, has aided many trainers in Legends: Z-A. Though dependable, both the Pokémon and a Bull are still Fighting types, and – be it their companion or a strong opinion – will stand up for their position to the end. The thing about Super Heracross that recalls most of my Bull-sign companions, though, is its unashamed passion for snacks. Several previous official descriptions note their fondness for tasty tree sap and how it employs its horn to collect it everything, which is true Taurus energy.
Gemini – Super Medicham
Observe this absolute queen. It's impossible to convince me this creature is not the life of any gathering, providing an endless stream of gossip to those who wish to listen. Much like an enrapturing, gregarious Twins, it's incredibly easy to imagine Mega Medicham captivating an entire open area with their tales. This Pokémon's Pokédex entry also states its capacity to predict an enemy’s next moves, which sounds very similar to a socially-savvy Gemini.
Cancer – Super Manectric
Cancer is widely considered as the most emotional member of the astrological wheel, a passionate symbol famous for often getting wrapped up in their feelings. According to the Pokédex, Mega Evolution fills the Pokémon with a “tremendous amount of electricity, but it's too much for this Pokémon to fully manage,” which sounds a lot like a classic Cancer emotional outburst. It is also known for its ability to create a storm cloud over its own head – and if there’s one thing a Crab is likely to do, it’s spoil their good time.
Leo – Super Starmie
Oh, did you think I was planning to pick the lion Pokémon for the king of the stars? Besides the reality that it would be much too obvious, The Lion is clearly Mega Starmie, the diva whose gams just went viral for being too fabulous (or horrifying, based on your taste). Fans couldn’t look away from the purple starfish, and that’s exactly the same energy a Leo offers to the table. This Pokémon is also rumored to be transmitting radio waves from its center out into space, and it’s just like a Leo to be putting on a performance, albeit for extraterrestrials.
The Maiden – Mega Victreebel
The ever-prepared and perpetually-anxious Maiden is ideally encapsulated in Mega Victreebel, the Mega with perpetual acid reflux. The sign known for being charmingly critical is strongly mirrored across this creature's whole lineage, from a perpetually shocked face like a Maiden when you inform them you don’t have a retirement plan, to its upside-down visage that’s similar to the symbol a Maiden posts to the chatroom when everyone says they want to “go with the flow” rather than making a strategy.
Libra – Super Audino
Observe this gentle, empathetic being, who employs the feelers on its auditory organs to tell how others are feeling by their heartbeat. Consistently empathetic – occasionally to a detriment – and striving to maintain the peace, there are many Scales who would likely appreciate Mega Audino’s skills. Though, let’s be honest, it would likely just cause them to stress even more about everyone else.
The Scorpion – Mega Banette
Banette is a creature with a unexpectedly sad origin: Abandoned as a toy, it became consciousness through pure resentment and swore revenge on its previous caretaker. According to the Pokédex, Mega Evolution, “enhances its vindictiveness.” That sounds exactly like many conversations I’ve had with my scary Scorpion friends. A Scorpio loves cosmic justice and retribution, making them the ideal pair with Super Banette.
Sagittarius – Mega Hawlucha
Both Mega Hawlucha and Archers are always putting on a show. Being a Sagittarius myself, the number of occasions I’ve referred to myself some version of a “playful small jester” is countless. The showiest and most obnoxious Super Form, its description even notes how it “poses to show off its strength.” I would do the very same thing if I had a Mega evolved form, making Mega Hawlucha the most apt Archer match I can think of.
Capricorn – Super Absol
Were you aware that a Super Absol has the power to foresee calamities ahead of time? That exudes the exact same vibe as a Capricorn, who tends to consistently believe they’re correct. Interestingly, much like a visionary Mega Absol, they frequently are. It’s also the very first Mega Evolution that trainers meet in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Goat to get in on the ground floor of the Mega trend.
Aquarius – Mega Chandelure
Aloof element Water Bearer is possibly the non-flame placement that is most like a flame symbol – its sister sign is Leo, and there are countless memes about Sagittarius and Aquarius being chaotic accomplices. Mega Chandelure’s double Ghost/Fire typing matches seamlessly with this, and the Mega’s overall intimidating aura is also very Aquarius. If you weren’t already persuaded, the Super Form's Pokédex entry says it “absorbs negative energy and transforms it into power.” If that doesn’t exactly {encaps
